For high-performance hearing protection against low to moderate noise levels, use 3M™ PELTOR™ X1 earmuffs. A lightweight design with low-profile cups, they are ideal when over-protection is a concern. The first level of noise protection in the series, 3M PELTOR X1 earmuffs are green color-coded, making it simple to select the correct level of protection from the X Series range. The headband model features an electrically insulated dual headband design that helps reduce heat buildup on top of the head, and the plastic-coated stainless steel wire makes the headband the most robust 3M has to offer. It is strong and comfortable, as the wide, flat headband has a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on top of the head. No exposed metal means the product is "dielectric", providing electrical resistance for those applications with a risk of spark or charge. Carefully molded sliders ensure the earmuffs are easy to adjust when on the head. Wide, soft foam cushions help workers stay comfortable, while the slim cups offer enhanced compatibility with other safety equipment. Offering a product to suit every user's job or preference, the helmet-attached version is available as P5 with the same dielectric performance as the headband model. Alternatively, if the application does not require electrical insulation, the helmet-attached P3 model and neckband model are available. The foam cushions and inserts, available as hygiene kits, are easy to replace if they become worn or damaged, helping to extend product life.
